How to cancel subscriptions on iPhone, iPad and Mac

When Apple bills you for a subscription, you cancel it in your Apple account, not with the company that makes the app. Apple's steps are below, followed by the 183 services in our library that Apple can bill, each with its own guide.

Apple's steps

iPhone or iPad

  1. In Settings, tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription. You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button.

Mac

  1. In the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. On the page that appears, click your name.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. Click the subscription you'd like to cancel.
  5. Click Cancel Subscription.

Windows PC

  1. On your Windows PC, open the Apple Music app or Apple TV app.
  2. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose View My Account.
  3. Scroll to the Settings section. Next to Subscriptions, click Manage.
  4. Find the subscription that you want to cancel, then click Edit.
  5. Click Cancel Subscription.
Free trials
Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Can't find it?
Apple suggests searching your email for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple". If another company bills you, contact that company to cancel.
