Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Free plan Cancel to Free: 1 brand, up to 20 posts per month, 30 days of analytics, the AI assistant and Metricool MCP, but no LinkedIn or X/Twitter connection. Metricool keeps your oldest brand; delete unwanted brands first if you'd rather keep another help.metricool.com help.metricool.com
- Cheaper plan Use Change plan in Plan and Billing to pick a lower plan or fewer brands; the lower plan starts at the end of the current billing period help.metricool.com help.metricool.com
- Pay yearly Annual billing has a discount already applied to the final price (up to 24% on the pricing page) help.metricool.com
- Cheaper plan Drop add-ons you don't use, such as the X/Twitter add-on (charged per connected X account) or Advanced Analytics: removing an add-on takes effect on the next billing cycle help.metricool.com
For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Deleting the Metricool account does not cancel the subscription: cancel the plan first, or charges can continue
- Plans bought in the iOS or Android app can only be cancelled with Apple or Google, not in Metricool
- Free keeps only your oldest brand: delete the brands you don't need before cancelling if you want to keep a different one
- Download reports before the period ends: reports aren't available on Free
- Add-ons are billed separately; removing one takes effect at the next billing cycle. Metricool doesn't say that cancelling the plan removes them
- Want a refund? Only the very first purchase qualifies, within 15 calendar days; renewals aren't refundable
- SmartLinks stay live after the account moves to Free: to take one offline, delete it before the paid plan ends
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/metricool.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
