How to cancel Linktree

In the Linktree Admin, select your profile picture, Billing, Cancel Plan, a reason, then Downgrade to Free; paid features last until the billing cycle ends. Apple ID or Google Play purchases are cancelled with Apple or Google. Gotcha: Linktree isn't responsible for content lost when you drop to Free.

The short answer

  • Where: In the Linktree Admin, select your profile picture to open your account settings, then select Billing (linktr.ee).
  • When it ends: The plan changes at the end of the billing cycle: paid features work until then, and the account then converts to the free plan.
  • Billed by someone else? Cancel with them instead: Apple or Google Play.
  • Before you go: export Profile analytics from Insights: activity (views, clicks, click-through rates), cities, countries, devices and referrers. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Profile analytics from Insights: activity (views, clicks, click-through rates), cities, countries, devices and referrers: Go to the Insights tab, Linktree activity section, choose the date range in the top right, then tap Download CSV below the Activity chart (ZIP file of CSV files). Available on Premium plans linktr.ee
  • Email and other form sign-ups collected on your Linktree: In the Integrations tab, choose Export CSV, set a passcode, then click Export CSV (CSV file, sent by email) linktr.ee

What happens to your data

Cancelling keeps your Linktree on the free plan. Deleting the account or a profile is a separate, permanent step: profiles, links and data can't be recovered.

What you lose

  • Paid features, at the close of the current billing period
  • Content that relied on paid features: Linktree isn't responsible for content lost when an account is downgraded to free
  • If you delete the account: your Linktree URL is deactivated, and the same username or email can't be used for 14 days

Cancel, by who bills you

Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Free plan Downgrade to the Free plan, which Linktree calls free with restrictions: it keeps unlimited basic links linktr.ee
  • Cheaper plan Change to a cheaper paid plan (Starter, Pro or Premium) under Your subscription on the Billing page instead of cancelling linktr.ee

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Retention step: A screen asks why you're cancelling before you confirm Downgrade to Free
  • Check where the plan was bought: website and in-app plans are cancelled in Linktree's Billing, but a plan bought with an Apple ID or Google Play account must be cancelled with Apple or Google
  • Changed your mind before the cycle ends? Choose Resubscribe on the Billing page
  • Cancelling is not deleting: deleting the account or a profile is permanent, while cancelling keeps a free Linktree
  • On Premium, download Insights CSVs before the plan ends: the export is a Premium feature

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/linktree.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
