How to cancel Zoom

Sign in to the Zoom web portal, open Plans and billing and click Cancel Plan; service lasts to the end of the term. Apple or Google Play purchases cancel in that store instead. Gotcha: no automatic refund, and cloud recordings are deleted 30 days after the plan ends.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in to the Zoom web portal as the account owner, an admin, or a user with billing privileges (zoom.us).
  • When it ends: Paid services stay available until the end of the current plan term, and the next renewal isn't charged.
  • Contract notice: At least 30 calendar days before the next renewal term, unless your order form says otherwise. How to give notice
  • Billed by someone else? Cancel with them instead: Apple or Google Play.
  • Before you go: export Cloud recordings. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Cheaper plan and more. Options

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Cheaper plan Switch to a cheaper plan or fewer licensed users in Plans and Billing; the change applies from the next billing date support.zoom.com
  • Free plan Zoom has a Basic (free) account with no paid subscription support.zoom.com

Cheaper ways to get the same job done

Stackcut prices the alternatives to Zoom Workplace from public list prices.

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • If Cancel Plan doesn't appear, the plan was bought through Apple or Google Play, it is managed by another account or organization, or self-service isn't supported for the account
  • You can reactivate a cancelled plan any time before the term ends

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/zoom.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
