How to cancel Read AI

Go to Plan & Billing, click Cancel plan, then Downgrade to Free, any time before the renewal date (or email support@read.ai). Paid features last to the end of the period; there are no refunds. Gotcha: on Free, recordings are deleted 180 days after each meeting, so download first.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in and go to your Plan & Billing page (app.read.ai).
  • When it ends: You aren't charged again and keep paid features for the rest of the billing period; then the account is on the Free plan.
  • Before you go: export Meeting report content, such as notes and transcripts; video on Enterprise. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Meeting report content, such as notes and transcripts; video on Enterprise: Open a meeting report, click Download at the top right and pick a section from the drop-down menu (Files per report section; video as .mp4). Video (.mp4) downloads need the Enterprise plan and video playback enabled on the report; a Workspace can disable report downloads. Download before moving to Free, where recordings are deleted 180 days after the meeting support.read.ai support.read.ai

What happens to your data

Past meeting reports, notes and transcripts stay available. On Free, Read keeps report text at least 1 year after each meeting and deletes recordings 180 days after the meeting. Deleting the account irreversibly deletes the content and reports it owns.

What you lose

  • Audio and video playback for past reports when moving from Enterprise or Enterprise+ to Pro or Free
  • A Workspace you owned is deactivated, with reports shared with you only through team or workspace sharing
  • Meetings beyond 5 a month (Free plan limit)
  • Paid-only features such as integrations and webhooks and the For You page

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Workspace members can't cancel: ask the Workspace owner
  • Cancel before the renewal date; paid fees aren't refunded
  • Deactivating Read means disconnecting calendar integrations; the account still exists. To stop paying, cancel on Plan & Billing
  • Download recordings and reports before downgrading: on Free, recordings are deleted 180 days after the meeting
  • You can also cancel by emailing support@read.ai

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/read_ai.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
