How to cancel Front

A company admin cancels in company settings: Billing, Upcoming plan at renewal, Cancel plan, confirm, pick reasons. Payments already made aren't refunded. Gotcha: Front's SaaS Agreement asks for termination at least 30 days before the term ends and renews terms for 12 months. Data is deleted 30 days after termination.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in, click the gear icon and go to your company settings. Select Billing in the sidebar, then Upcoming plan at renewal (app.frontapp.com).
  • When it ends: At renewal. After the subscription terminates you keep limited access for 30 days: you can log in, search conversation history and see analytics, but not send messages.
  • Contract notice: At least 30 days before the end of the current subscription term. How to give notice
  • Before you go: export Shared-inbox conversations, messages, discussions, comments and attachments. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Pay yearly and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Shared-inbox conversations, messages, discussions, comments and attachments: A company admin asks Front's Support team for an export (it can't be done in the app). When asking for account deletion, put "Please send me a data export before deleting" in bold at the top of the email (CSV files in folders by inbox, about 700 MB each; message files in EML on request). Excludes individual inboxes, contact data, message templates and tags. Front acknowledges within 72 hours. Available for 30 days after termination, and never after deletion help.front.com front.com help.front.com

What happens to your data

30 days after termination, Front starts permanently deleting customer data; once started it can't be reversed. A company admin can ask support for earlier deletion, and free trial data may be deleted when the trial ends.

What you lose

  • Sending messages or comments once the subscription terminates
  • Creating channels, inboxes or teammates, the knowledge base and the API
  • All customer data when deletion starts 30 days after termination

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Pay yearly Annual billing saves 24% compared with monthly, per Front's pricing page front.com
  • Fewer seats Fewer seats apply only from the next term: seats can't be reduced mid-term, and Front needs 30 days' written notice before the current term ends. No credits for seats you don't use front.com
  • Cheaper plan A lower plan also applies only from the next term, with the same 30 days' written notice; downgrading may cost data, features or capacity front.com

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Retention step: Front shows a summary of your account to acknowledge and asks you to select reasons for cancelling before Cancel Plan
  • Only company admins can cancel
  • Front's SaaS Services Agreement asks for termination at least 30 days before the term ends and renews terms for 12-month periods, so cancel well before renewal
  • Request the data export before cancelling or asking for deletion; data can't be exported after it is deleted
  • Until renewal, the cancellation can be undone with Re-enable subscription under Upcoming plan at renewal
  • Uninstalling the Mac or Windows app is a separate, optional step after cancelling

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/front.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

  • The help center says you can cancel at any time and the plan ends at renewal, while the Agreement asks for 30 days' notice and says terms renew for 12-month periods; how that applies to monthly plans isn't spelled out
