How to cancel Freshdesk (Freshworks)

No in-app cancel is documented. Freshworks' Terms auto-renew plans at the same users and plan unless written non-renewal notice goes to Freshworks' mailing address, copied to legal@freshworks.com, at least 30 days before the term ends. No mid-term reductions or refunds; Freddy AI session packs renew until reduced.

The short answer

  • Where: At least 30 days before your subscription term ends, send Freshworks written notice that you won't renew: by courier or US mail to Freshworks Inc., 2950 S. Delaware Street, Suite 201, San Mateo, CA 94403, with a copy by email to legal@freshworks.com. billing@freshworks.com is the billing contact for questions.

Freshworks recommends exporting everything before closing the account. Available for 14 days after the account closes freshworks.com

What happens to your data

Data can be exported for 14 days after the account closes; Freshworks may keep it up to 3 more months, then deletes it, and deleted data can't be recovered.

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Fewer seats Lower the number of agent licenses in My Subscriptions (switcher, Edit next to Plan and User, Update Subscription). Delete the extra agents first; the lower cost starts in the next billing period support.freshworks.com support.freshworks.com support.freshdesk.com
  • Cheaper plan Move to a lower plan (Under Plans, Change Plan, then Update Subscription). It takes effect when the current subscription period ends, and data for features the new plan lacks is lost support.freshworks.com

For AI agents

  • Send the non-renewal notice at least 30 days before the term ends, in writing to Freshworks' notice address with a copy to legal@freshworks.com, or the plan renews at the same users and plan
  • Fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable, and you can't reduce users or downgrade mid-term
  • Freshworks may raise renewal prices (it notifies at least 30 days ahead), and discounts can lapse if you renew smaller
  • Once you have paid, you can't return to the Free Program
  • Offline-paying accounts (bank transfer, PayPal) can't change plans online; use the account manager, billing@freshworks.com or support@freshdesk.com
  • Export data before the account closes; afterwards you have 14 days to ask support@freshworks.com for an export
  • Freddy AI session packs you added renew every billing cycle until you explicitly reduce them, and unused sessions expire at the end of each cycle

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/freshdesk.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
