Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Cheaper plan Move to a lower plan: email your Customer Success Manager from the address on your Sprout account (or successteam@sproutsocial.com) with the plan name. It takes effect at the start of your next contract cycle, and you may have to remove users or profiles first support.sproutsocial.com
- Fewer seats Remove users in Account and Settings, Settings, Roles & Team Members: select the user, click the trash bin icon, then Remove. Add-ons are removed by your Customer Success Manager or Support support.sproutsocial.com
- Pay yearly Pay yearly, which Sprout says often has cost-saving benefits. In-app payers on a rack-rate or custom plan with no premium add-ons can switch in Account and Settings, Billing & Plan: View Plans, Pay Annually, Confirm support.sproutsocial.com
- Student or nonprofit price Sprout has nonprofit pricing; ask about it through Sprout's pricing contact form support.sproutsocial.com
For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Annual plans paid monthly and invoiced plans need notice at least 30 days before the term ends
- A trial with no payment method just expires: nothing to cancel
- Export reports before access ends: data may be removed within 30 days
- Add-ons and plan downgrades go through your Customer Success Manager or successteam@sproutsocial.com
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/sprout_social.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
