The short answer
- Where: Export any contacts you want to keep first (My Contacts, Actions, Export to CSV) (rocketreach.co).
- When it ends: At the end of the current billing cycle: you keep paid access and remaining credits until then, and the account reverts to a free account.
- Contract notice: Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled; the Subscription Agreement allows a notice of non-renewal by email to support@rocketreach.co. How to give notice
- Before you go: export Your saved contacts (My Contacts). What to save
- Want to keep it for less? Pause and more. Options
Before you cancel
Export first
- Your saved contacts (My Contacts): Open My Contacts, filter or tick the contacts (none ticked means all), click Actions, then Export to CSV; a download link arrives by email (CSV). Exports work only from the My Contacts page and are delivered by email; accounts with Export Credits use one credit per verified contact. Do it before the plan ends: bulk lookups and data exports are blocked once cancelled knowledgebase.rocketreach.co knowledgebase.rocketreach.co

Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Pause Monthly plans can be paused for 1, 2 or 3 billing cycles instead of cancelled (Account Settings, Manage Subscription, Pause Subscription); billing then resumes automatically. Not available on annual or team plans, and it doesn't extend credit expiry knowledgebase.rocketreach.co knowledgebase.rocketreach.co
- Cheaper plan Choose a lower-tiered plan on the Pricing page and click Change Plan; the downgraded plan takes effect at your next billing date knowledgebase.rocketreach.co
- Fewer seats Team Owners and Admins can remove seats; billing drops from the next billing cycle. To replace a person, unassign and re-invite instead, which keeps the seat and its credits knowledgebase.rocketreach.co
- Pay yearly Annual plans have a built-in discount over paying monthly; the whole year's fee is paid at checkout knowledgebase.rocketreach.co
- Free plan After cancelling, the account stays open as a free account with the free search tools knowledgebase.rocketreach.co knowledgebase.rocketreach.co
For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Retention step: The cancel flow has on-screen prompts before the confirmation screen; closing the page partway leaves the subscription active
- A cancellation is complete only with both the confirmation screen and the confirmation email
- No Cancel Subscription button usually means you're signed in to the wrong account: search your inboxes for rocketreach.co receipts to find the paying one
- Team members can't cancel a Team Plan; they can only leave the team, which ends their access immediately
- Removing a team seat is permanent and forfeits its credits: remove seats near the end of the billing period
- Enterprise and Custom plans have no self-serve cancel button
- Cancelling doesn't delete the account; a free account can be deactivated in Account Settings, Other Settings
- Cancelling while a monthly plan is paused ends the subscription immediately, not at the end of the pause
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/rocketreach.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
