How to cancel Plausible Analytics

The team Owner or a Billing user opens Account Settings, Subscription, Cancel plan; plans renew automatically and fees aren't refunded. Stats stay visible until the paid period ends, then the dashboard locks; collection stops a month later and Plausible may delete data (emailing first). Export from Site Settings first.

The short answer

  • Where: Log in, click your account name in the top right menu, then Account Settings.
  • When it ends: At the end of the current billing cycle: stats keep being counted with full dashboard access until then, and then the dashboard is locked.
  • Before you go: export The site's collected stats. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Cheaper plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • The site's collected stats: In Site Settings, open Imports & Exports and click Export to CSV in the Export Data panel; Plausible emails you when it's ready. This still works on a locked site after cancelling; dashboard exports and the Stats API don't (CSV). Download within 24 hours of the ready email. After the paid period ends, Plausible may delete sites and stats; it emails before the deletion date, and deleted data can't be recovered plausible.io plausible.io

What happens to your data

One month after the dashboard locks, Plausible stops collecting data. Once the paid period ends it may delete your sites and stats, emailing you before it does; resubscribing before then unlocks the dashboards with your historical stats.

What you lose

  • Viewing your stats once the dashboard locks
  • Data collection, one month after the lock
  • Sites and stats, if Plausible deletes them after the paid period (it emails first)

Cancel, by who bills you

Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Only the team Owner or a user with the Billing role can manage the subscription
  • To delete an account or team, cancel any active subscription first; deleting the account removes all sites and stats, and a sole team owner must add another owner or delete the team
  • Export data from site settings before the deletion date in Plausible's email
  • Resubscribing from the Subscription section unlocks dashboards and restarts data collection immediately
  • The 30-day free trial needs no credit card

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/plausible.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
