The short answer
- Where: Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Settings (app.clay.com).
- When it ends: You keep the plan's features until the next payment due date, then the workspace moves to the free plan.
- Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options
Before you cancel
What happens to your data
Clay keeps user data while the account is active; deleting the account deletes the data, deleting a workspace permanently removes its tables and configurations, and you can ask support@clay.run to delete your data.
What you lose
- Data credits above the new plan's rollover limit once the billing cycle ends
- Unused actions: they reset each billing cycle and don't roll over
- Paid-plan table capacity: the free-plan row limit is unresolved because pricing lists 200 rows per table and the FAQ lists 50 for free/trial accounts
- API keys, if you delete the account
Cancel, by who bills you
Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.
In your workspace
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select SettingsYou should see:
Plan & billing
- In the sidebar, open Plan & billing
- Use the cancel option in the Billing section; the public FAQ does not name its button or the final confirmation control
- Access ends
- You keep the plan's features until the next payment due date, then the workspace moves to the free plan
- Refunds
- Except as set out in the agreement, all fees are non-refundable
By email
- Email support@clay.run and ask to cancel the Clay subscription, naming the workspace
- Access ends
- Cancelling opts out of auto-renewal: a contract plan continues for the duration in your contract; other plans keep their features until the next payment due date, then move to the free plan
- Notice
- No notice period is stated in the Terms: cancel before the contract ends, or it renews automatically at Clay's current rates
- Refunds
- Except as set out in the agreement, all fees are non-refundable

Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Free plan The free plan includes 500 actions a month and 1.2K data credits a year. The pricing page lists up to 200 rows per table, while the FAQ says 50 for free and trial accounts; confirm the limit shown for your workspace. clay.com clay.com
- Cheaper plan Switch to a cheaper plan in Settings, Plan & billing, Switch plan and review the change before confirming. Official pages disagree on timing: the FAQ keeps current features until the next payment due date, while workspace settings says plan changes activate immediately. The FAQ says excess credits remain usable until the billing cycle ends. university.clay.com clay.com university.clay.com
- Pay yearly Annual billing saves 10%; at renewal on the same or a higher-tier plan, unused data credits can roll over up to a cap of 15% of your annual data-credit allocation, in addition to the new credits. clay.com clay.com university.clay.com

For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Workspace admins manage billing: sign in as an admin
- Spend or export what you need before the billing cycle ends: extra credits are cut to the new plan's rollover limit
- Clay contracts renew automatically at Clay's current rates when the subscription ends
- Deleting a workspace or account is permanent and isn't the same as cancelling; account deletion also removes API keys
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/clay.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Not confirmed yet
- The exact cancel control in the Billing section isn't described step by step: the FAQ says the cancel option is in the Billing section, and the docs describe Switch plan
- No help article on exporting a table to CSV was found in Clay's docs (only exports to integrations), so export is left empty
- Enterprise contract terms (term length, notice for non-renewal) aren't in the Terms of Service: they say contracts renew automatically at Clay's current rates
- What confirms a cancellation isn't documented
- The FAQ lists both support@clay.com and support@clay.run; the Terms name support@clay.run for cancelling, so that address is used here
- Official sources disagree on paid-plan downgrade timing: workspace settings says upgrades or downgrades activate immediately, while the FAQ preserves current features until the next payment due date. The account-specific effective date and charges must be checked before confirming.
- Official sources disagree on the Free plan row limit: the pricing page lists 200 rows per table, while the FAQ lists 50 for free and trial accounts. The currently applicable workspace limit is unverified.
