Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Pause Pause a monthly plan for up to 3 months, once every 12 months, with no billing during the pause (and no access to the account). It starts at the end of the current billing term and can't be extended; start it from the same Cancel my account option. Not available for trial, resold or Commit Annually, Pay Monthly accounts help.activecampaign.com

For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Retention step: Yes: depending on the plan, the flow asks you to schedule a free 1:1 session with the Success team, and monthly plans are offered a pause; you can back out before Confirm cancellation
- Only the Primary Admin can cancel or pause the account from Billing & Upgrade
- Some plans must book a free 1:1 session with the Success team during the cancel flow before the account can be cancelled
- A free trial doesn't need cancelling: you're only charged if you upgrade to a paid account
- Export contacts before cancelling: contact data can't be restored afterwards
- Updating billing information during a pause reactivates the account
- Downgrades (lower tier, lower contact limit, removing an add-on) go through the Customer Experience team
- You can't cancel while the account is paused: when the pause ends, the account reactivates and the card on file is charged
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/activecampaign.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
Delete your account (separate from cancelling)
Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated hard).
