How to cancel Notejoy

Open Plan Settings and click the cancel plan button to end a paid plan. Premium features stop at once, and unused paid time becomes account credit, not a refund. Closing the account in Account Settings queues it for permanent deletion.

The short answer

  • Where: Open Plan Settings.
  • When it ends: Immediately: premium features stop as soon as you cancel.
  • Before you go: export Notes in a library or notebook. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Notes in a library or notebook: Pick a library or notebook and have it exported to a Google Drive folder. The export feature is in your Account Settings (Files in Google Drive that you can convert to Microsoft Word, OpenDocument Format, or Rich Text Format). Exporting needs a paid plan, so the free plan can't export. The help article states no size or count limits notejoy.com
  • A single note: Print the note (File, then Print in a browser, or Print from the note's actions menu in the desktop apps) and choose to save it as PDF (PDF). One note at a time; the article names no plan requirement notejoy.com

What happens to your data

A closed account is queued for deletion and then permanently deleted; the help article gives no timeframe. Backup copies of deleted content may be kept for up to 30 days after deletion.

What you lose

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Free plan Free plan for individuals or teams getting started: up to 5 notebooks and 100MB of library storage. Export isn't included notejoy.com notejoy.com
  • Cheaper plan Change to a cheaper plan type (for example Pro to Solo, $5 per month billed annually): you get a credit for the unused part of your current plan, and your billing date resets notejoy.com notejoy.com
  • Fewer seats Remove team members in each library's sharing dialog; a pro-rated credit for their unused time is added to your account automatically notejoy.com

For AI agents

  • Export first: library export needs a paid plan, and closing the account leads to permanent deletion
  • Paid plans bill again at the next bill date, a month or a year after the last one, until you cancel
  • Unused paid time comes back as account credit, not cash
  • Cancelling the plan (Plan Settings) and closing the account (Account Settings) are separate steps

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/notejoy.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).

Not confirmed yet

  • Who may cancel a team plan isn't stated in Notejoy's help articles
  • Notejoy's help doesn't state a notice period before renewal or a refund window; it only says unused time becomes account credit
  • Whether closing the account also stops a paid plan's billing isn't stated
  • The help article gives no timeframe between being queued for deletion and permanent removal
  • Notejoy's iOS and Android help pages don't mention in-app purchases, so no App Store or Google Play route is included
  • The export and discount help articles still name Solo, Plus and Premium plans; the current pricing page lists Solo, Pro and Team, with export on the paid plans
