How to cancel MyCase

An admin with billing access opens Settings, Firm Settings, Billing and selects Cancel Subscription at the bottom, before the renewal or trial end date. Access lasts to the end of the billing cycle, then 30 days read-only for exporting; then data may be deleted. Renewed charges aren't refunded.

The short answer

  • Where: Log in as an admin user and click your initials or profile picture in the top-right corner.
  • When it ends: The subscription doesn't renew; you keep full access until the end of the current billing cycle, then the account is read-only for 30 days (export only), after which the account and data may be permanently deleted.
  • Before you go: export Contacts, cases, and a Full Data Backup of firm data (appointments, cases, clients, companies, expenses, time entries, trust activity and more). What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Fewer seats and more. Options

Keep it for less

  • Pay yearly Annual billing saves almost 15% (Pro: $100 per user a month billed annually, versus $120 monthly). Switch in Settings, Firm Settings, Billing: under Billing Plan, click Edit Subscription supportcenter.mycase.com supportcenter.mycase.com

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Cancel on the Billing page: MyCase's help says support can't process cancellations for you, even though 8am's Terms also mention emailing Customer Support
  • Only an admin with access to billing preferences can cancel
  • Cancel before the renewal date; once a new cycle is charged it isn't refunded
  • Run a Full Backup and download documents and invoice PDFs before the 30-day read-only period ends

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/mycase.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
