The short answer
- Where: Log in to your JetBrains Account (account.jetbrains.com).
- When it ends: The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then doesn't renew; payment reminders stop.
- Billed by someone else? Cancel with them instead: a partner.
- Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options
Before you cancel
What happens to your data
If you bought a yearly subscription or renewed monthly for 12 consecutive months, a perpetual fallback license lets you keep using the latest major version available when your subscription started (or older versions), indefinitely.
What you lose
- Newer versions of the product once the subscription expires
- Any use of the product, if you held the subscription for less than 12 consecutive months (no fallback license)
- The continuity discount, unless you pay a backdated renewal within 2 months (annual) or 1 month (monthly) of expiry
Cancel, by who bills you
Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.

Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

- Free plan CLion, Rider, RubyMine, RustRover, WebStorm and DataGrip are free for non-commercial development or content creation; commercial development needs a paid subscription sales.jetbrains.com

- Discount program Continuity discount for uninterrupted renewals: 20% from the second year, 40% after that. All personal subscriptions qualify; commercial ones only if bought before January 2, 2025. Cancelling and letting it expire loses it sales.jetbrains.com sales.jetbrains.com

For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Cancelling stops renewal and payment reminders; Disable auto-renewal stops automatic charges but keeps the reminders
- Check for a perpetual fallback license first: in JetBrains Account, find the license with the fallback version and click its version number to download it
- JetBrains AI subscriptions and AI credits are non-refundable; cancel an AI subscription in JetBrains Account with Cancel subscription
- Commercial (organization) licenses are cancelled in JetBrains Central Console, not in a developer's personal JetBrains Account
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/jetbrains.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
Delete your account (separate from cancelling)
Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
