The short answer
- Where: Log in to Dropbox Sign, click your avatar (top right) and select Settings (app.sign.dropbox.com).
- When it ends: You can use the plan until the end of the current billing period; then the account becomes a free account. If you cancel after the renewal date, the plan stays active (and billed) until the end of the next billing period.
- Contract notice: Written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the term ends, unless the order form says otherwise; otherwise it renews for another term of the same length. How to give notice
- Before you go: export Signed documents and form response data. What to save
- Want to keep it for less? Pause and more. Options

For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Retention step: After Cancel plan, the flow offers Pause plan instead
- Cancel before the renewal date: cancelling after it keeps the plan, and its charge, for the next billing period
- Cancelling is not deleting: Delete my account (Settings, Profile) permanently removes the account and all its documents
- Download signed documents before deleting the account
- Dropbox won't delete an account on the user's behalf
- Order-form contracts: send written notice of non-renewal 30 days before the term ends to contractnotices@dropbox.com, subject "Attention: Legal Department"
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/dropbox_sign.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
