How to cancel Browserbase

Cancel a Developer or Startup plan in Settings, then Usage & billing, Change plan; you can use it until the paid term ends. Plans auto-renew unless you opt out, and fees already paid aren't refunded. Usage over the included browser hours is billed as pay-as-you-go overage. Scale plans go through sales.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in to the Browserbase dashboard and open Settings, then Usage & billing (browserbase.com).
  • When it ends: You can keep using the paid plan until the end of the term you've paid for.
  • Before you go: export Session recordings (replays). What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Session recordings (replays): Request MP4 downloads with the Recording Downloads API (POST /v1/sessions/{id}/recording/downloads), then poll the same endpoint with GET for each file's download URL (MP4, one file per recorded page (tab)). For non-BYOS projects, only while Browserbase still keeps the session's recording, for up to 30 days after the session ends docs.browserbase.com

What happens to your data

Plans keep session data for a limited time (the plans table lists 7 days on Free and Developer, 30 days on Startup); what happens to data after cancelling isn't stated.

What you lose

  • The paid plan's included browser hours, concurrency and longer session limits

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Opt out of auto-renewal in account settings before the renewal date: charges recur until you do
  • Paid plans can't be ended early for a refund: you keep them until the paid period ends
  • Overage is billed by usage (browser time by the minute, proxy bandwidth by the MB), separately from the base plan
  • Invoices and payment details are in Manage Billing, through the Stripe customer portal
  • Scale plans are handled by the Browserbase team, not the self-serve Change plan page

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/browserbase.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
