Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Free plan Use Bitwarden Free: the core password manager features are 100% free, including unlimited storage of logins, notes, cards and identities bitwarden.com
- Bundle Households with several Premium users can share one Families plan instead: up to 6 users, billed annually at $47.88 bitwarden.com
- Fewer seats Teams and Enterprise owners can remove unused seats in the Admin Console (Billing, Subscription, Subscription seats); your next charge is credited for unused time on removed seats bitwarden.com
For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Deleting an account or organization does not cancel its subscription: cancel first
- Changed your mind? Before the period ends, select Reinstate subscription on the same page to turn renewal back on
- Individual and organization subscriptions are billed separately: cancel each one you pay for
- Only organization owners can cancel an organization's renewal
- Teams and Enterprise organizations add billed seats automatically when users are invited; remove unused seats manually
- If you deleted an account that had Premium, contact Bitwarden to reapply the subscription to a new account
- Export your vault before deleting anything; exports leave out trash items and Sends
- Self-hosted: cancel from the Bitwarden web app and the server where you created the subscription
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/bitwarden.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
Delete your account (separate from cancelling)
Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
