How to cancel Aha!

A billing administrator cancels under User menu, Settings, Account, Billing, then Cancel; it ends at the next billing period, with data access. Several products need an email to support@aha.io. The Terms want 30 days' written notice before the term ends, and early termination leaves the term's charges due.

The short answer

  • Where: Back up your data first (see the export section): access ends when the cancellation takes effect (support.aha.io).
  • When it ends: At the beginning of your next annual or monthly billing period. You no longer have access to your data once the cancellation takes effect.
  • Contract notice: Thirty days' written notice before the end of the then-current Subscription Term. How to give notice
  • Before you go: export Almost all data in Aha! products, as a list export. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Cheaper plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Almost all data in Aha! products, as a list export: Open the product's list report (Roadmaps, then List in Aha! Roadmaps; Reports, then List in Aha! Ideas; Work, then List in Aha! Develop), add and filter the data, then click Share in the upper right corner and choose Microsoft Excel or CSV (Microsoft Excel or CSV). Exporting strips the formatting from formatted text, such as record descriptions and comments support.aha.io support.aha.io
  • A full backup of the whole account: Enterprise+ customers can export a full JSON backup file of their Aha! Roadmaps account (JSON). Enterprise+ customers only support.aha.io

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Cheaper plan Change to another plan by emailing the Customer Success team at support@aha.io. A plan change does not change the number of paid seats you have bought support.aha.io
  • Fewer seats An administrator with billing permissions removes paid seats under User menu, Settings, Account, Billing: in Plans, click Add or remove paid seats, then Apply changes. A reduction applies at the end of the current billing period, and extra users are deactivated, keeping the most recent log-ins support.aha.io

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Only an administrator with billing permissions can cancel
  • Removing all users does not cancel the subscription
  • Cancelling and deleting are separate: cancel first, then request deletion by email
  • The Terms ask for 30 days' written notice by email to support@aha.io before the term ends; near an annual renewal, send that email as well as clicking Cancel
  • Export your data before cancelling: access ends when the cancellation takes effect, and the Terms say data can't be recovered once the account is cancelled

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/aha.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
