How to cancel Wasabi

Monthly pay-as-you-go: the Root user deletes the account in Settings, then Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and wipes all data; final usage bills within 24 hours. Yearly RCS and Pay-Go Flex plans auto-renew: give non-renewal notice at least 30 days before the end date (RCS).

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in, then click Settings on the Wasabi menu (or open the account sign-in drop-down and click Settings).
  • When it ends: Immediately: the account, its buckets and all stored data are deleted permanently.
  • Contract notice: RCS: at least 30 days before the end date (Wasabi sends several reminders). Pay-Go Flex: as set in your quote and the Customer Agreement. How to give notice
  • Before you go: export Files in your buckets. What to save

Export first

  • Files in your buckets: In the Wasabi Console, open a file's details and click Download File; it saves to your Downloads folder. Do this before deleting the account or before a yearly term ends (The original files). The console guide covers downloading individual files. For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Deleting buckets or objects without deleting the account doesn't stop charges: the 1 TB monthly minimum and the 90-day minimum storage charge still apply
  • Deleting the account waives future 90-day minimum storage charges, but it deletes all data at once
  • The account can't be deleted while it has active Object Lock buckets, if Prevent account deletion with Object Lock Buckets is on
  • Partners must delete every Sub-Account before deleting a Control Account
  • Trial accounts and their data are deleted when the trial lapses without converting
  • If you're signing a yearly RCS or Pay-Go Flex plan, you can ask your account representative for a quote without auto-renewal

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/wasabi.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
