The short answer
- Where: Use the dropdown at the top left of the page to select the scope (personal or team) whose subscription you want to cancel.
- When it ends: The account moves to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period.
- Before you go: export A project's code. What to save
- Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options
Before you cancel
Export first
- A project's code: Open the Project menu (...), then Settings, then GitHub; select Connect, choose the Git Scope, enter a repository name and select Create Repository. v0 creates a private repository and pushes the current code to it (GitHub repository). Vercel may permanently delete your content when an account is terminated; export first v0.app v0.app vercel.com
What happens to your data
The account continues on the Free plan. Rolled-over monthly credits expire after 65 days; purchased credits stay in the balance but need an active paid plan and expire a year after purchase. Archived chats are kept 30 days. If the account is terminated, Vercel may permanently delete your content.
What you lose
- The paid plan's monthly credits (Free includes $5 a month and a daily message limit)
- Use of purchased credits until you have a paid plan again
- Team collaboration, which needs Plus, Business or Enterprise
Cancel, by who bills you
Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.

For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Select the right scope first: personal and team subscriptions are cancelled separately
- Team members and billing can also be managed from the Vercel team settings
- Once an account or team is confirmed for deletion it can't be stopped or recovered, and the email can't be used to sign up again for 7 days
- Chats can be moved between personal and team scopes before cancelling; a personal chat moved into a team becomes visible to the team's Owners
- Vercel's Terms also let you close an account by sending a cancellation request to Vercel Support
- The Premium plan is being sunsetted and is no longer offered to new users
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/v0.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
