How to cancel Transistor

The account Owner cancels at the bottom of the Account page: I'd like to cancel my subscription, then I understand. Cancel my subscription. Shows stay live until the billing end date, then feeds are disabled and content is queued for deletion, so set a 301 redirect and download audio first.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in as the account Owner and open the Account page at dashboard.transistor.fm/account (dashboard.transistor.fm).
  • When it ends: The account stays active until the end of the current billing period (monthly or annual), as shown on the confirmation screen; then it is closed and content is deleted.
  • Before you go: export Episode audio files. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Cheaper plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Episode audio files: Download each episode's mp3 file before the billing end date (MP3). Content is queued for deletion once the billing end date passes support.transistor.fm
  • Podcast download statistics: Export your podcast stats from the Analytics tab. Do it before the billing end date support.transistor.fm support.transistor.fm
  • Private podcast subscribers' email addresses: Export the list of your private podcast subscribers before cancelling support.transistor.fm

What happens to your data

At the billing end date, feeds are disabled and content is queued for deletion. There is a short window in which Transistor may be able to reactivate shows, but restoration isn't guaranteed and no exact period is given.

What you lose

  • Your RSS feeds and playback in podcast apps: Spotify and Apple only link to Transistor's feed and audio files
  • Your podcasts and their data, deleted after the billing end date
  • Podcast directory listings, which become inactive over time (Transistor doesn't remove them for you)

Cancel, by who bills you

Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Only the account Owner controls billing and the subscription; team members with Admin, Member or Analytics roles can't cancel
  • Moving to another host? Before cancelling, paste the new feed URL in the show's Settings tab, RSS Feed section, Permanent Redirect (301) field, and save: the redirect stays active forever, even after cancelling
  • There is no free plan: a show stays playable only while a paid subscription is active, even if you stop publishing
  • You can reactivate your podcasts up to the billing end date; after that, restoring them isn't guaranteed
  • A free trial converts to the paid plan unless you cancel before the trial ends
  • To remove directory listings (Apple Podcasts, Spotify) right away, contact each directory yourself

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/transistor.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
