How to cancel Skool

Group owners: in the group, open SETTINGS, Billing, Manage subscription, Cancel subscription; the group stays until the billing period ends, then it's archived read-only. Paid members: Settings, Communities, SETTINGS next to the group, Manage membership. Gotcha: Skool gives owners no refunds; members' refunds are up to the group's admins.

The short answer

  • Where: Go to Community Settings and click SETTINGS for the group you want to cancel (skool.com).
  • When it ends: You keep access through the end of the billing period; then the group is archived and its content is read-only.
  • Want to keep it for less? Cheaper plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

What happens to your data

What you lose

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Cheaper plan Move from Pro ($99 a month) to Hobby ($9 a month, with a 10% transaction fee instead of 2.9%): SETTINGS, Billing, Manage subscription, Change plan, then Downgrade. You must first meet the Hobby plan's limitations help.skool.com skool.com

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Cancel each group from its own SETTINGS: each group has its own subscription
  • Cancelling doesn't delete the group; to delete it, wait until it is archived and you are the only member left, then use SETTINGS, Billing, Delete group
  • Skool issues no refunds, even for part of a billing period
  • Close doors (Pricing tab) only stops new members joining: existing members keep access and keep being billed
  • If the Billing tab isn't visible on a computer, zoom out
  • Paid members who paid the group outside Skool must contact the group's admins before leaving the group
  • A group's Hobby or Pro plan becomes a recurring subscription after the 14-day free trial

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/skool.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated medium).
