How to cancel Onshape

Paid plans renew automatically. The Terms of Use require written notice to Onshape at least 60 days before the term ends (and cancelling at least 30 days before renewal). No refunds; access lasts to the end of the billing cycle. Export your files first, because Onshape may delete your content.

The short answer

  • Where: Check your subscription term and renewal date in your account profile at cad.onshape.com.
  • When it ends: Access to the paid service continues through the end of the current billing cycle; no refund is due.
  • Contract notice: At least 60 days' written notice before the current term ends (Section 5(a)). Section 6(c) separately says renewal charges apply unless you cancel at least 30 days before the Renewal Commencement Date; giving notice 60 days ahead meets both. How to give notice
  • Before you go: export Part Studios, parts, assemblies, drawings and sketches. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

For AI agents

  • The Terms describe cancelling by written notice to Onshape, not an in-app cancel button
  • Give notice at least 60 days before the term ends; the payment-method renewal clause also needs cancelling at least 30 days before the Renewal Commencement Date
  • Export files before cancelling: Onshape may permanently delete all content afterwards, and exports don't keep parametric history
  • Documents created on the Free plan are public, so moving private work to a Free account exposes it
  • The iOS and Android apps don't sell subscriptions in-app, so there's no App Store or Google Play route

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/onshape.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
