How to cancel ngrok

Cancel in the ngrok dashboard; its Billing page shows your usage, but ngrok's public docs don't list the cancel steps. Gotcha: fees, including pre-paid fees, aren't refunded, and Pay-as-you-go usage above the included amount is billed at the end of the cycle. AWS Marketplace purchases are cancelled in AWS.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in to the ngrok dashboard and open Billing, where your usage is shown (dashboard.ngrok.com).
  • Billed by someone else? Cancel with them instead: a partner.
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Free plan The Free plan costs $0: $5 of one-time included usage, up to 3 online endpoints, 1 GB of data transfer and 20,000 HTTP requests a month, with an interstitial page in front of HTML browser traffic ngrok.com ngrok.com
  • Cheaper plan Hobbyist is $10 monthly. When its usage credit runs out, endpoints stop until the billing cycle resets, instead of being billed for extra usage as on Pay-as-you-go ngrok.com
  • Pay yearly Hobbyist with annual billing saves $24 ngrok.com

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • AWS Marketplace purchases land on your AWS bill: cancel them in the AWS Marketplace console, not the ngrok dashboard
  • Usage credit doesn't roll over; it resets at the start of each billing cycle
  • Each clock hour in which an endpoint has outgoing traffic is charged as one endpoint hour
  • On the Free plan, a card added to enable TCP endpoints isn't charged

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/ngrok.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
