How to cancel Deel

Deel is month-to-month and bills per active contract, so you stop paying by ending each contract: People, the worker, the three-dot menu, Schedule termination, then submit for Deel's review. Gotcha: EOR terminations need 30 days' notice plus local labor-law rules, and deleting the account takes a request to Deel Support.

Cancel, by who bills you

Pick the route for whoever charges you: the name on your card statement or receipt tells you.

Contractor contracts

Online, self-serve Independent contractor contracts (Fixed, Pay As You Go, Milestone), billed per active contract per month. Who can cancel: A client admin who manages the contractor's contract.

  1. Select the People icon, then on the People tab click the contractor
  2. Select the three-dot action menu and click Schedule terminationYou should see: End Contract Only, Terminate Worker and Contract, or Change Worker Type
  3. Choose End Contract Only (keeps the worker's profile) or Terminate Worker and Contract (removes the worker from your organization)
  4. Enter the Last Day of Work and the other termination details, click Initiate Contract Ending and complete the final payment details
  5. Review the details and click Submit to send your termination request; repeat for every active contractYou should see: Deel reviews the termination details and the desired contract end date

Once Deel confirms the termination request, a banner shows on the contract summary page; the contractor is emailed when you submit

Employer of Record (EOR) employees

Online, self-serve Employees Deel employs for you as Employer of Record ($599 per EOR employee per month). Who can cancel: A client admin who manages the employee.

  1. Select the People icon, then on the People tab click the employee
  2. On the employee's profile overview page, select the three-dot action menu and click Schedule termination
  3. Add the termination details, transfer the employee's responsibilities, complete the contract ending process, then review and submit the request
  4. Wait for Deel's review: Deel may change the requested end date to follow local labor laws
