How to cancel Better Stack

Better Stack publishes no cancel steps: an Admin or Billing admin manages the subscription, invoices and payment settings in the web app, or email hello@betterstack.com. A 60-day money-back guarantee is advertised. Deleting your user account is permanent and isn't documented as stopping billing.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in to Better Stack on the web as an Admin or Billing admin (betterstack.com).
  • Before you go: export Logs and metrics. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Free plan and more. Options

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Only the Admin and Billing admin roles can manage the subscription, invoices and payment settings
  • Deleting your user account (Settings, Account settings, Permanently remove my account) can't be undone, and the docs don't say it cancels the subscription
  • Deleting a team (Teams, three dots, Configure, Permanently remove this team) is separate from billing; the docs don't say it stops charges
  • The Terms let you end the agreement by no longer using the service, but nothing documented says that stops a paid subscription's charges: get a cancellation confirmed
  • Invoices are due within 15 days unless agreed otherwise; unpaid amounts accrue 1.5% a month

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/better_stack.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
