Keep it for less
Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.
- Cheaper plan Ask support to move you to a smaller subscription: the early-cancellation fee is waived when you switch from one subscription to another shutterstock.com shutterstock.com
- Cheaper plan For occasional needs, buy an on-demand pack instead (images in packs of 2, 5 or 25; video as singles or packs of 5, 10 or 25), with up to a year to use the downloads shutterstock.com

For AI agents
- The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
- Cancelling a plan does not close the account; you can delete the account (Delete Account on the Profile page) only after the plan is cancelled and its original commitment has expired
- Each subscription and pack has its own auto-renewal setting: turn off every one
- Turning off auto renewal on an annual plan billed monthly does not stop the monthly charges before the 12 months end; only Cancel early does, for a 50% fee
- A saved card can't be removed while a plan with recurring billing, or a pack with auto-refill, is active
- Plans are bought and cancelled on shutterstock.com: the mobile apps sell only single images, some packs and single clips
- Standard and Enhanced licenses stay valid forever after cancelling, but content from an Unlimited subscription may only be used while subscribed
Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/shutterstock.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.
Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.
Delete your account (separate from cancelling)
Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
