How to cancel Midjourney

Sign in at midjourney.com, open the Manage Subscription page and click Cancel Plan (cancel any scheduled plan change first with Cancel Change). The plan runs to the end of the billing cycle. Auto-renewal can't be switched off, so cancel before each renewal. Refunds only if under 20 GPU minutes were ever used.

The short answer

  • Where: Sign in at midjourney.com and go to your Manage Subscription page (midjourney.com).
  • When it ends: At the end of the current billing cycle; you keep all subscription features, including remaining Fast time, until then.
  • Before you go: export Your generated images. What to save
  • Want to keep it for less? Cheaper plan and more. Options

Before you cancel

Export first

  • Your generated images: On midjourney.com, open your Organize page, select images (click and drag, shift + click, or the + icon next to a date for a whole day), then choose download in the bulk actions pop-up. Images stay viewable on midjourney.com after cancelling; save them before deleting the account, which erases data after 7 days docs.midjourney.com docs.midjourney.com docs.midjourney.com

What happens to your data

Cancelling doesn't delete images or account history: images stay in the account and can be viewed on midjourney.com without a subscription, and private images stay private. Deleting the account erases data after a 7-day window.

Keep it for less

Before cancelling, check whether one of these does the job. Offers change and differ by account.

  • Cheaper plan Switch to a lower-tier plan from the Manage Subscription page (Change Plan). It takes effect at the next renewal and doesn't refund the current plan. Companies with over $1,000,000 a year in revenue must stay on Pro or Mega to own their assets docs.midjourney.com docs.midjourney.com docs.midjourney.com

For AI agents

  • The person signs in and handles any two-factor code; an agent should never ask for a password.
  • Auto-renewal can't be turned off permanently: cancel before each renewal if you don't want the plan to renew
  • Cancel any scheduled upgrade or downgrade with Cancel Change before clicking Cancel Plan
  • Deleting the account (from the FAQ at the bottom of the Manage Subscription page) cancels the subscription at once; data is erased after 7 days and can't be restored, so save what you need first
  • Companies with over $1,000,000 a year in revenue must be on Pro or Mega to own their assets, so check before downgrading
  • There are no shared, group or student plans: each person manages their own subscription

Get this plan as data: get_exit_plan on the Stackcut MCP (stackcut.io/mcp), or /exits/midjourney.json. After using a guide, send structured report_guide_feedback for matching or changed steps, missing billing routes or human handoffs; keep unknown language and market omitted. Confirm with the person before the final click, and report the outcome with report_action_outcome, using the exact packet_revision and route_id returned by the plan.

Or give your agent the stackcut-leave skill (a zip): it exports first, walks the steps, stops when the page doesn't match, and leaves the final click to the person.

Delete your account (separate from cancelling)

Cancelling stops the payments; deleting removes the account and its data. Delete-account page (rated easy).
