For makers

Built something cheaper? Get recommended when people leave the tool you replace.

Claim your product's listing as a checked replacement. We compute the price difference from both pricing pages, check how people move their data over and show the date we checked. No fees, and no paid ranking.

We compute the saving from both pricing pages, with setup time at $50 an hour. Makers never type it.

What you get

  • Shown where people leave

Your product shows on the recipe page for each tool you replace, with the price difference at each person's own usage, and in the answers our MCP server gives AI agents.

  • A listing people can trust

We check every claim against the page you link and compute the price difference ourselves. Your label says when we checked.

  • A badge for your site

An optional badge for your site or README that links to your row. It's never a condition of listing.

How it works

  1. Claim

Tell us what your product replaces, link your pricing page and import guide, and name one gap. About 5 minutes.

  2. Review

We open every link and check the prices, the import path and the gap. Target: 3 business days. Anything we can't confirm comes back to you as a list to fix.

  3. Listed

Your row on each recipe page carries the label, with the date we checked. Then add the badge if you want it.

The rules

The same for every product. They're what make a listing worth sharing.

  • No paid ranking. Rank is fit first, then year-one cost at the person's own usage. Placement isn't for sale.
  • The label always shows. “Submitted by the maker · checked by Stackcut on (date)” sits on your row on every recipe page.
  • You never type the saving. We compute it from both pricing pages, with setup time at $50 an hour.
  • No incumbent logos. Badges never carry the logo of the tool you replace. They name it in words only.
  • Every claim has a link. Each one points to a public page we can read, and you name at least one known gap.
  • False claims end the listing. Two confirmed false claims and it comes down.

Wanted

Tools people leave where we have no checked indie replacement yet.

Claim your listing

Already on our recipe pages or new to Stackcut: tell us what your product replaces and where its pricing and import guide live. A person reads every claim.

We write to you here to confirm the claim and send the review.

What it replaces

Pick up to 3 tools from our catalog, then the job your product does instead of each. A tool we don't list yet goes in as a suggestion.

The page that shows how people move over. Optional if they move by hand.

How people move their data over

Up to 120 characters.

At least one thing it doesn't do yet, or write "none we know of" and we'll test that.

We use what you send only to review the claim and write to you about it. Privacy policy

The badge

Optional, and never a condition of listing. It links to your product's row on a recipe page and names the tool you replace in words only, never with its logo.
